Google now using QR in their Blogger admin panel

Some quick QR news in case you have not seen it already.. Google is now using QR technology in their Blogger admin panel. As you can see in the photo, it is under the settings tab and then the email and mobile tab. Something tells me that the big G believes in QR Codes a little more than they are putting on :)

Yellow Pages tells Asheville's Dr. Roeder - No QR Code allowed in your ad

When Dr. Roeder got his new ConnectMe QR Code, he was excited. A better bridge had been made from the print to digital world. As a businesses that attempts to balance out their advertising, they still advertise in the Yellow Pages. We got a confirmation from CMQR that a 1 inch by 1 inch QR Code would work fine in the ad. When Dr. Roeder requested that his QR Image be inserted into his ad, he was denied by the Yellow Pages.

We hoped that the sales representative did not know what she was talking about, so we attempted to contact her, left several messages and never got a response. Is this another attempt at the print world trying to stop technology? And we thought we were past that lol.

Dr. Roeder has informed us that he may no longer be advertising in the Yellow Pages after this situation.

Why the ConnectMe QR Reader / Scanner is preferred

So many scanners out there, so little time to try them all. In several of our recent meetings, the ease of using the ConnnectMe QR reader / scanner keeps coming up. A bunch of us were at a RelyLocal Asheville, support local business dinner where I talked to Z from Orthodox Daily and got this testimony.

Medical Supply Company utilizes QR Codes to enhance their media

Med Express has been supplying the medical, dental, automotive and restaurant industry with vinyl, nitrile and latex gloves for years. When the Owner first heard about the QR Code technology, he quickly responded with a YES to getting his company involved. Having a great product and customer service is good; but being able to reach out to people where they are is an added bonus that many companies are taking advantage of.

Med Express plans to have a QR Code on every one of their boxes of gloves which ship to all 48 Continental US States. This code can be scanned with an iPhone, Droid or iPad and will take you to an online portfolio of resources thanks to the built in CMS system in the ConnectMe QR Code.

Here is a screenshot of the new website the Med Express Gloves just launched with the big QR Code shining on the home page:

When the Med Express ConnectMe QR Code is scanned, it takes you either to a mobile app platform or a desktop portfolio such as this screenshot below, where you can choose what you would like to see and how you would like to connect with them:
